Can a company that is a cso..threaten you with going to jail, having the d.a. issue a warrant for your arrest? Or is this a civil matter where they have to sue you in a court of law? I have been trying to find more info. For the consumer on this subject. But getting dead ends! Any suggestions or answers?

what dead ends?debts are civil matters, and bad check laws don't apply to pdl's,or CSO'S.anyplace tha threatens that needs to be reported to the person's state AG asap.to get more info check your state laws in regards to pdl's/cso's.it will say crminal action prohibited.meaning they can't threaten jail legally

Debts are civil matters, not a criminal offense. So you can’t get arrested or go to jail for nonpayment of your debts. But if the company is legal, then they can file a lawsuit against you because of not paying off debts.
