Collection agency send me final bill and after 3 month they

I broke apartment lease.Collection agency send me the final $1300 bill and after our conversation, I started making payments of $200 every month. After third month, they send me another Bill of about $3100 and said you have to pay this amount because this is your final bill now. I stopped making payment that how could they increase the balance. Now, they put on my credit report and it says potentially negative closed. Please tell me what can I do? I really appreciate your help.

Thanks for reply me quick. I already have my credit report copies with me. I live in wisconsin state.They send me first final bill in somewhere early months of 2009 and started making payments by march 2009.
