Beides paying off the house we have finally got brave enough to open a small business, we opened it in August. It is a seasonal hunting shop. We did really well and expect things to be even better next season.
Wow the paperwork, tax time, new bank account for it, etc. Inventory, I have been contemplating investing in one of the scanners to get rid of the paperwork, especially for inventory. If anyone knows of a good one that don't cost an arm and a leg I would appreciate it. Needs to be easy to use also.
We have to file our taxes with the business since it is under our social security numbers, IRS is making small business wait till around March for all the new forms. Got a tax lady to take care of all that.
If anyone has any suggestions or tips for new business I would appreciate that too.

I know this is old, but if you are reading, I would recommend investing in an inventory scanner. Research the different brands and find one that will serve all of your inventory needs, and maybe try to find a used one on eBay or craigslist.

'We' all have financial difficulties..that's for sure!! But,..since this thread is the subject on 'PaydayLoans', I will give the best ( and 'personal') advice I can. At times, we do what we have to do..very true. Alot of us have been through that PDL nightmare!! :( We may think we 'get ahead' with financial situations when we get PDL's. ..however..we don't. We pay 'fees' for the loan itself and the % on them are absolutely horrible!! We pay back twice the amount of the loan!! So..............if consumer's can avoid PDL's (and I realize it's not possible..) we would save money right off the bat!!

My question is the following: I am the "privary buyer' on a car loan and my exboyfriend the cosigner. When I left he was signed me a paper in which he agree to make all payments on the car and he kep it. The car has now being repossed and the agency sent it to collection agency. Can I take my ex boyfriend to court and make him fully responsible and remove my name from the loan?

If you want to make your exboyfriend fully responsible for the loan, then you will have to show proper document against it before the court. If you have any kind of document which prove that your co-signer is fully responsible for all the payments, then only your exboyfriend will be responsible for fully payments.

Can a person borrow money from a bank using money for collateral?

For example, use 25k as collateral for a loan for that amount or lesser.

If so, can that person use some or all of the money put up to secure the loan?

It is so easy for everyone to say budget here and there but what about when it gets to the point where you can't budget anymore and you have no social life and never do anything for entertainment-why are we even here.

I think budgeting is okay. It means that you are using money wisely instead of spending it too much. You are thinking of you and your family's future. Of course you also have to set aside some extras for you to have social life. Me and my wife does this, but we can still go out during our offs. In this way, you have a future ahead of you without worrying too much about financial. There will always be a time that an emergency will ask you. So no need to worry. :-)

A fixed interest rate is a a rate that stays the same through out your whole repayment term of the balance. Fixed rates generally increase when your account is in a default status. Very seldom do creditors give fixed interest rates on credit cards. Generally, the only time you get a fixed rate is when you are ready to close your card & pay down your balance.

A variable interest rate is a rate that fluctuates do to current economic conditions, credit scores, & repayment history with the creditor (current or delinquent). This is the most popular rate that creditors apply on credit card debt because the rates fluctuates do to the above listed factors.

Please remember, your credit card companies makes their money based upon the amount of interest they charge on your outstanding debt.

When you call your credit card companies, unless you close your account, when you ask for a reduced rate, most likely they will give you a variable interest rate rather then a fixed interest rate.

Always make sure that you read the terms of the card member agreement that you signed when you accepted the credit card which will also confirm what terms you accepted the card under.

The really crappy part of debt consolidation plans in my opinion is that they can stay on your credit for up to 14 years. The reason it is so crappy in my opinion is people who choose to do the right thing and pay off their debtors are punished. Hmmm... for me, it's okay to let my credit be like that. It's all about management by controlling yourself in using it. You can always use alternative ways in making sure that you won't be tempted of getting used to it. I have a card and my credit already increased big time, but i can always manage it.
